Cosmetics get a personal voice

Challenge

Founder of ByMaya, Maja Švener, who is a specialist in the area of cosmetics, decided to create her own products, after being disappointed by the overall quality of existing luxury cosmetic brands and their impact on the planet.

Approach

ByMaya is positioned as a luxury, vegan and responsible brand, that uses high-quality, natural ingredients in its products. Maja functions as ambassador of the brand, therefore helping, explaining and giving professional tips to its customers — deepening their understanding and establishing trust.

Solution

The most important part of the visual identity are Maja’s handwritten annotations — helping customers understand the product more, therefore using it in a proper, healthy way. The materials used in packaging are eco-friendly and give an organic feel to the product. Bold headline typography and extensive use of white space capture the luxury essence of the brand, which allows it to speak clearly and confidently. Different products are separated using organic illustrations and “earthy” colour coding.
